The Challenge

Before launching Google Local Services Ads, Excel Carpet Services did not have a predictable way of generating calls from new customers. They wanted a steady flow of clients without overspending on ads, keeping the cost per call below $50 while maximizing the number of booked jobs.

The Strategy

The approach began with targeting customers within a 15-mile radius of the Cleves, OH location. We used high-quality, engaging photos that showed the company’s professionalism and variety of services, helping to make a strong first impression. In the first month, the focus was on collecting performance data and building trust with Google’s system. After that, bids and budgets were increased to boost the number of calls. Once a steady flow of leads was achieved, bids were gradually lowered to keep costs in check without sacrificing call volume.

We also listened to recorded calls regularly, providing feedback to improve booking rates, and made adjustments to the location targeting to prioritize high-value areas. This combination of smart targeting, strong visuals, and ongoing optimization created the foundation for consistent growth.

The Results

The results were clear and measurable. In March, the campaign started with 14 leads, and by July, that number had grown to 54 inquiries in a single month. The cost per inquiry remained consistent at $44.99, well within the carpet cleaning industry average. Booking rates climbed steadily, peaking at 62% in May and staying near or above the 40% benchmark in most months.

June brought a temporary dip, with booking rates falling to 14% due to increased competition and call-handling challenges. Instead of letting this slow momentum, we acted quickly, refining the bidding strategy to secure more top-of-page visibility and providing call-handling feedback to improve conversion quality. These proactive steps reversed the decline, leading to a sharp recovery in July with stronger lead volume, higher booking efficiency, and a stable 4x ROI.

Overall, the campaign not only delivered a consistent 3x–5x return on investment, but also proved its resilience. By responding quickly to challenges, we ensured performance stayed profitable and on track for long-term growth.

What This Means for Excel Carpet Services

For the business, this growth translated into more booked jobs, greater revenue stability, and a reliable new customer acquisition channel. Even when performance dipped in June, quick adjustments allowed the campaign to bounce back strongly in July. The ads became a dependable and profitable lead source that the business could scale further in the future.

Key Wins

The campaign delivered steady growth in call volume from the very first month, with booking efficiency peaking at 62% in May while keeping costs well controlled. Through a balance of smart bidding strategies, daily performance monitoring, and engaging ad content, Excel Carpet Services transformed Google Local Services Ads into a consistent and highly profitable customer acquisition channel. Beyond immediate bookings, the long-term financial impact is even more impressive. With an average lifetime value of $10,000 per client and a conservative 50% retention rate, the confirmed bookings alone represent approximately $365,000 in future revenue. Compared to the $9,240.68 ad spend, this translates into an ROI of nearly 3,950%, underscoring the campaign’s role as a true growth driver for the business.

Final Takeaway

With the right setup and continuous optimization, Google Local Services Ads can deliver both steady and profitable growth for a local service provider. For Excel Carpet Services, this meant more calls, more bookings, and a clear return on their advertising investment.

GOOGLE ADS

Executive Summary

Carpet Care Solution’s Google Ads campaigns generated 524 new customer inquiries at an average cost of $42 per lead over a sixteen-month period. With strong results in peak months and consistent performance year-round, the campaigns helped the company strengthen its presence in a competitive Mississauga market and delivered a strong return on investment.

Background

Carpet Care Solution is a professional cleaning company based in Mississauga, Ontario. In April 2024, the company relaunched its Google Ads campaigns to drive customer inquiries for carpet, upholstery, and area rug cleaning. The primary objective was to generate high-quality calls and leads at a cost-effective rate while competing against established local advertisers.

Campaign Setup

Search campaigns were launched using carefully selected keywords targeting carpet cleaning and related services in Mississauga. Ads were designed to highlight the company’s expertise, reliability, and quality service. Campaigns were restricted to serviceable areas and scheduled to run during business hours, ensuring that calls were handled promptly. The bidding approach evolved from a data-gathering phase to conversion-focused strategies as the campaigns matured.

Performance Data

Between April 2024 and July 2025, the campaigns generated over 60,000 impressions and more than 3,000 clicks. With an average cost per click of $6.97, the campaigns maintained a strong 5.22% click-through rate. In total, 524 new leads were generated, averaging $42 per lead. Costs fluctuated seasonally, reaching a low of $32 per lead in May 2025 during peak demand, and a high of $80 in December 2024 when competition was strongest.

Optimization Actions

The campaigns were actively managed to maximize efficiency. Irrelevant searches were filtered out through negative keywords, and ad copy was updated frequently to highlight service strengths. Landing pages were improved to increase conversion rates. Bidding adjustments ensured that Carpet Care Solution maintained strong ad placement during competitive searches, while ad scheduling aligned lead flow with live call availability.

Challenges & Solutions

The most significant challenges were seasonal demand fluctuations and higher competition in winter. During slower months, cost per lead increased, but by proactively adjusting budgets and focusing on the most valuable keywords, the campaigns continued to generate business. In peak seasons, bidding was made more aggressive to capture high-intent leads, ensuring the company fully benefited from increased customer demand.

Insights & Learnings

Performance clearly followed seasonal patterns, with the strongest results in spring and summer. The campaigns confirmed that staying visible in top ad positions is essential to drive lead volume. They also demonstrated the importance of proactive management—continuously refining ad copy, targeting, and bidding—to stay competitive and cost-efficient.

Recommendations

Carpet Care Solution is well-positioned to scale results further. Increasing budget allocation during peak cleaning months will help capture more market share. Expanding into related services such as duct cleaning and tile and grout care would attract new customer segments. A remarketing campaign is also recommended to reach past website visitors and repeat customers, further increasing lead volume and long-term customer value.

FB ADS

The Challenge

After a major health crisis, Xtreme Clean 95 had to pause its marketing for several months. This left the business with reduced visibility and fewer new customer inquiries.

The Strategy

We relaunched Facebook Ads in April 2025 with a two-part approach. First, we used personal branding ads to reintroduce the business and rebuild trust with the local community. Then, we ran offer-based lead ads with Facebook’s native forms to directly generate new customer inquiries. Ads combined both images and videos and were shown to proven audiences, as well as to people who had already interacted with the brand.

The Results

Since April, the campaigns have reached 46,170 people and generated 171 inquiries from just $2,512.78 in ad spend. This resulted in a cost per inquiry of $14.69, well below the typical $20–$40 range in the industry. Based on historical booking rates, the campaigns are estimated to have produced more than 30 new jobs for the business.

The Takeaway

By restarting Facebook Ads with a balanced mix of branding and direct response campaigns, Xtreme Clean 95 was able to quickly regain market visibility, warm up leads, and start generating consistent inquiries again, all while keeping costs highly efficient.
